Training Facilities

Several Technical Training Institutions and Facility Centres are in operation provididng  training  for local as well as those from other states. Some are established and managed by State Governments. This means that Terengganu  residents are also being sent to training institutions outside and all over Malaysia as well as in foreign countries under the state Government Traning Programmes.

State owned Training facilities are:

  • TATI
  • TSTC
  • TESDEC
  • TTITC
  • TPTC

Federal Government Training Institutions:

    • Petronas petroleum training centre
    • Industrial Training Institutes
    • Polytechnics

A) TATI: Terengganu Advanced Technical Centre

Established On 1st July 1994 by State Government in collaboration with Swiss  University - INGENIEURSCHULE ST. GALLEN (ISG) who provide the technical advice.

  • Chem. Elec. & Mech. Engineering
  • Mechatronics
  • Manufacturing Technology
  • Quality
  • Non-Destructive Test (NDT)
  • Others

B) TSTC: Terengganu  Safety Training Centre

Established in August 22nd 1994 by Terengganu State Government to provide realism in skill training and to provide continous supply of skilled and safety conscious workforce.

Provides competent /safety and skill training. It is diversifying into advanced technical skills

Its vision is to become premier Centre in this Region

Has a long list of available courses. Some of which  are:

  • Sea Survival/Underwater escape
  • First Aid/Casualty Handling
  • Fire Fighting / Emergency Response
  • General Safety/Management
  • Technical & Safety Procedures
  • Team Building/Jungle Camping/Recreation
  • Others

C) Terengganu Skill Development Centre

Established in 14 September 1996 By State Government As An "Inhouse Training Programme" for local industrial and governmental organisations.

Provides skill training for school-leavers in preparation for job entry

D)  TTITC: Terengganu Timber Industry Centre

Established in 14 November 1996 By State Government to enhance the timber industry

  • Timber processing Technique
  • Survey & Demarcation
  • Technical Drawing
